What inspired you to join Socius?

For me it was the People at Socius. Our whole team is driven by the same underlying goal – to help our clients achieve total financial transparency and by helping them protect what they earn.

What’s the most gratifying part of your job? What motivates you the most?

Helping clients completely understand their financial picture. Assisting them with the process of laying out a blueprint on how we can help maximize and protect their wealth and seeing them execute the plan is really gratifying.

What’s the biggest challenge most people face when it comes to their wealth?

The ability to think long-term and see the big picture. Rather than thinking about the next 1-5 years, think about the next 10-50 years. It is easy, especially with a steady flow of income from a salary and other investment income, to think that those sources of cash flow will be permanent, but sometimes they aren’t. It is critical to begin thinking long term as early as possible to live comfortably at a later stage in life.

What book has changed the way you think?

The Energy Bus, by Jon Gordon, on positivity, outlook, and how to approach life, and Principles, by Ray Dalio, on strategy, values, and purpose.
