What inspired you to join Socius?

I recognized and respected the firm’s commitment to their clients. Socius takes a forward-thinking approach to the financial industry—an approach that prioritizes clients and considers their needs first.

What do you love most about being at Socius?

Being surrounded by a positive, hard-working team. Everyone at Socius is passionate about helping the clients and families we serve, and it’s evident in the close relationships we’ve developed.

What’s the most gratifying part of your job?

Helping to simplify our clients’ financial lives. Managing wealth can be overwhelming—knowing that we help our clients sleep at night is meaningful and fulfilling.

What’s the biggest challenge most people face when it comes to their wealth?

Maintaining a long-term vision. Making financial decisions often involves emotional conversations and worst-case considerations. This causes many people to only consider short-term financial needs. At Socius, we mitigate those concerns with sound planning that enables clients to take a long-term view and reach their financial goals.

What book changed the way you think?

Rework, by Jason Fried. At Socius, we try to work smarter, not harder. That’s true in business and in finance: we want to make our clients’ financial lives as easy as possible with smart strategies and responsible stewardship.

What’s your favorite food?

I’m a mediocre cook, but I love it anyway—I’m always trying out new healthy recipes. If I’m eating out, I can’t say no to Mexican food!
